Anton Julian joined Sarah Fisher Racing in the fall of 2009. Born in New Plymouth, New Zealand Julian completed a four year apprenticeship at a Ford dealership back home before moving to New Port Beach, CA in 1996. He worked with several Firestone Indy Lights teams on the west coast before moving to Indianapolis to work for Johansson Motorsports as lead mechanic. Julian is considered a veteran mechanic in the IndyCar Series.

He was a front-end mechanic for Al Unser Jr. at Kelley Racing and later moved to Target Chip Ganassi Racing as a mechanic in the Grand-Am Series and IndyCar Series for five years. Prior to his employment at Sarah Fisher Racing, Anton spent two years as lead mechanic on Danica Patrick’s car at Andretti-Green Racing. In his free time, Anton enjoys racing his sprint car and spending time with his family. Anton resides in Speedway, Indiana with his wife Heather and two daughters, Alegra (12) and Alex (5).
