Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing
Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing moved its race team May 1, 2013 to a new $2.5-million, state-of-the-art facility on 1255 Main St. in the revitalized downtown area of Speedway, Ind. The SFHR shop was built in the shadows of Turn 1 of the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway, in conjunction with the Speedway Redevelopment Commission in the motorsports capital of the world.
The cutting-edge, 40,000 square-foot design was built with an expanding IndyCar Series team in mind. But the multi-purpose facility also is well suited for fan and corporate events and entertainment. A 2,000-square-foot gift shop featuring apparel and other team-related souvenirs also will open to the public in March 2014 with partners New Era and Oakley, adding retail and fan interactive elements to the facility.
The modern layout allows SFHR to control all processes needed to compete for victory in the ultra-competitive IndyCar Series. Included are specific work areas for engineering, service, an expanded machine shop, and paint and composites. Team members also can take advantage of a family-friendly, home-style kitchen, a conference room overlooking the shop floor and a 2,200 square-foot executive gym, “The Body Shop,” created by sponsor Community Health Network.
