Shopping is a must do for some people on vacation and if you want to, you might as well visit the largest shopping center in Texas. The Galleria, also the nation’s fourth largest shopping center, has more than 26 million visitors every year. The mall has 2.4 million square feet and over 400 stores and restaurants. The mall also includes a full-sized ice skating rink, a state of the art children’s play area, two swimming pools, and a video arcade.
If you want a family-friendly activity, then you should put the Houston Zoo on your list. The Houston Zoo has over 6,000 animals at the zoo and they welcome almost two million guests each year. The zoo also offers several different tours to guests where you can get a behind the scenes look into the animal housing areas or another tour lets you get up close to the African Forest exhibit.
Another family-friendly exhibit for your visit could be to go to the Space Center. The Space Center is the official visitor center of the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center and is home to several different space artifacts like the Apollo 17 command module and a restored Saturn V, on loan from the Smithsonian.
